For a customer in the Toronto area of Canada, we provided a customized warehouse racking solution combining tire storage racks and heavy-duty pallet racking to meet the storage requirements of their newly expanded warehouse.

Customer Background
Our customer is an automotive tire sales company serving the Canadian market. With the expansion of its warehouse, the customer needed a new warehouse racking system to organize tires and other heavy products more efficiently.
Since tires vary significantly in diameter and size, standard storage racks could not fully utilize the available warehouse space.
The customer therefore provided us with the dimensions and diameters of their tire products, allowing our team to design a custom tire storage rack specifically for their application.
Custom Tire Storage Rack for Different Tire Sizes
Based on the customer’s tire dimensions, we designed a dedicated tire racking system with a 305 mm rack width.
The racks were installed in a back-to-back configuration, with an overall back-to-back width of approximately 810 mm.

The six-level configuration makes better use of the vertical warehouse space while providing organized storage for different tire products.
By designing the rack dimensions according to the customer’s actual tire sizes, we were able to provide a more space-efficient tire warehouse storage solution instead of using a standard rack configuration.

Each pallet rack level was equipped with wire mesh decking to provide a stable loading surface for stored goods.
The wire mesh decking features:

This configuration provides strong and reliable support for heavy warehouse loads while maintaining good visibility and airflow through the rack levels.
One Warehouse, Two Customized Storage Solutions
Instead of using one standard racking system for the entire warehouse, we combined tire storage racks and pallet racking according to the customer’s different storage requirements.
The tire racks were specifically designed around the dimensions of the customer’s tires, while the pallet racks were customized for heavy-duty storage with a load capacity of up to 3 tons per level.
This approach allowed the customer to:
